Speech Pathology Week promotes the speech pathology profession and the work done by speech pathologists. Did you know that 1 in 7 Australian’s will have a communication difficulty at some stage in their life?
Communication is a basic human right and Speech Pathology Week helps to raise awareness of communication disability and the role of speech pathologists.
In 2023, Speech Pathology Week is 20-26 August.
This year, the theme for Speech Pathology Week is ‘Communicating for life.’ We aim to highlight the vital role speech pathologists play in supporting quality of life across the lifespan. Moreover, we want to emphasise the unique skills, competence, and qualities of our Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP) members. This parallel theme will be promoted through media and digital advertising campaigns, emphasising the importance of seeking services from a CPSP for quality and safety, as well as the significance of employing CPSPs.
S.P.E.E.C.H. is running Facts and Myths Quiz to check your knowledge. The first correct entry drawn EVERYDAY from each of our clinics will win a story book.
